Scott Christensen is viewed by many as one of the top coaches in American history. He has influenced thousands as the lead endurance instructor and curriculum writer for both USTFCCCA and USATF. He has taught classes at the international level with the IAAF. Scott earned a Master’s Degree in Biology and taught for over three decades. All along the way, Scott has been a successful community runner, achieving a personal best of 2:35:00 in the marathon.

His development of distance athletes is legendary - 4 runners from his high school teams have continued on to break 4 minutes in the Mile. The depth of his high school teams demonstrates the mastery of an effective training philosophy and team leadership. Additionally, this success has not occurred in the ideal training climates of the West Coast - his teams have dealt with the inhospitable cold of Minnesota, which complicates some of the training available in the winter months for his high school athletes.
